When one thinks of Colombia, think the most likely first on Drugs and Crime. Before we came to Colombia, I also had a little concern about the safety. But police and security forces are omnipresent here and you see them almost everywhere in the streets patrolling. Of course, you should still always be a bit careful, but which one should indeed in any country.
Colombia was the first Spanish-speaking country, which we visited on our trip. Before we could usually communicate well in English, but here we often do not come with English. But a little Spanish we have learned, so that it was sufficient for most situations.
Scenic Columbia has to offer quite a variety, it is apparent Berge, Jungle, Sea and there are also some beautiful islands. Culinary it was for us but rather one-sided, since very much meat is eaten. Even food made from corn flour are typical of Colombia.
But now we are already excited to see what we are in Ecuador awaits us all and experience there.
