Flag of Malaysia

9 Wochen waren wir auf Malaysias Festland und Borneo unterwegs. Pristine rainforest, rare animals, beautiful beaches, idyllic islands, an amazing underwater world, delicious food and new friends … Wir hatten so viele wunderschöne Erlebnisse hier!
Malaysia is the first Muslim country on our trip. We learned a lot about Islam, especially because we got to know very affectionate locals, who answered all our questions patiently to their culture. This is exactly, what we look for in our journey: come into contact with people and an insight into “their world” bekommen.Von advantage it was there, that most Malaysians speak English very well, and thus the communication was very easy.
Shapes people's everyday lives. Über 60% der Bevölkerung bekennen sich zum Islam. Mosques dominate the streets, sometimes there are very traditional and very modern building again.
Of the countries we have visited so far during our trip, Malaysia is the most developed. This development is mainly due to the large oil deposits.

What we also connect with Malaysia:

  • be on the radio “bad” Words such as e.g.. “Fuck” or “Bitch” simply disappears
  • Malaysia is multicultural: 50% sind Malaien, 24% Chinesen, 11% indigene Völker, 7% Inder und 8% Sonstige
  • especially the special dishes will remain in our memories:
    • Laksa
    • Nasi Lemak
    • Chicken Rice
    • “ABC” Ice – grated frozen water with various toppings such as coconut milk, colored syrup, sweet corn kernels, red kidney beans or jelly cubes
